SAP Recruitment Optimization with - Project Examples Print E-mail
jonerp.jpgSAP recruitment is a challenging task in any economy. While it may be easier to fill job openings in a downturn, the truly talented SAP professionals - the ones with deep SAP know-how and the latest product knowledge - remain hard to find. Building relationships with these so-called "passive job seekers" involves breaking down barriers between services firms and the SAP community they serve.

Web 2.0 tools, properly used, can go a long way towards this objective, but internal change within a firm is often needed to make use of these technologies. (Read more about JonERP SAP Web 2.0 project work here , and see our entire SAP services overview as well.) In terms of SAP recruitment specifically, the good news is that many recruitment optimization projects are very practical and small in scope. works with SAP services firms to recruit and retain talent more effectively.

Examples of Jon's SAP recruitment optimization projects:

- Develop a third-party vendor email structure to for quick "push and pull" response to pending job openings. This can be structured around a smaller group of "A list" vendors or a "cast a wide net" group of vendors for openings where a wide net is appropriate or necessary due to rate pressure. In some cases, can provide vendor contacts to help launch such an effort.

- Create a "process flow" for the jobs section of the web site that ensures the jobs are current, easily accessible, and ideally, indexable by Google for organic search hits. Simplify any job posting procedures to ensure job content is appealing and accurate based on open listings.

- Create smaller, targeted email "opt-in" lists to "push" requirements to specific SAP consultants in targeted SAP verticals. (One of the focal points of these kinds of projects is to make it possible for recruiters to "push" openings out quickly to targeted groups BEFORE time is consumed on database searches and candidate-by-candidate cold calls.)

- Supplement your SAP recruiting program with interactive sessions with me on SAP market trends and/or topics pertaining to sourcing candidates and closing deals.

- Other recruitment projects can involve looking at the resume screening process, integrating internal databases with web-based "form input," and empowering the candidate base to do valuable self-service updates of their skills, rates, and availability, if such innovations are technically feasible.

To speak with me further about your project and how I might be of assistance, please call or email me.

And yes, I do pay referrals for those who introduce me to clients that result in successful projects. Contact me to discuss.

Bill rates are reasonable and depend on the scope and duration of the project. Estimates can be provided on a case-by-case basis.
