SearchSAP.com “Ask The Expert” Career Questions
(Visit the site now)

If you've read our career blog and still have an appetite for more SAP Career Q & A, “Ask the SAP Career Expert” column on SearchSAP.com.

Jon has been answering career questions on SearchSAP.com since 2002, so there are lots of questions to look at there. In 2005, SearchSAP.com compiled an SAP Careers and Certification FAQ of the most frequently asked SAP career questions and Jon’s answers. In September of 2007, SearchSAP.com put together a new version of this FAQ with a new set of questions and answers.

Jon has also written many articles for SearchSAP.com and has been interviewed for others. Two that may be of interest are the special reports by Krissy Danielsson on breaking into SAP and keys to success in SAP that both featured Jon’s comments.

Another highlight from SearchSAP.com is a four-part blog series on the "SAP jobs of the future" that included Jon's commentary.

ERPGenie.com “SAP Scoop” Column
(Visit the site now)

From the Fall of 2004 through the Spring of 2005, Jon wrote four in-depth articles for ERPGenie on SAP consulting trends. To this day, these remain Jon’s favorite articles on SAP career trends he has ever written.

Each article has a different theme, touching on hot buttons like whether SAP certification is a rip-off, the pros and cons of outsourcing, how to break into SAP, and why you should chase skills and not rates.

These articles provide a great theoretical foundation for developing your own SAP career strategy, and Jon hopes to add a new addition to the ERPGenie.com “SAP Scoop” collection soon.

You do have to be a subscriber to read the full articles, but there are sample issues available and you can do a full search of the document library at no cost.

Many of the editor’s notes introducing these articles through 2006 were written by Jon, and he also wrote the Editor's Letter for all of the SAPtips editions through 2006.

You can now read Jon's "SAP for CIOs" SAPtips features on JonERP.com.
